Shenzhen: Lucky Delivery

We ramp up the Chinese New Year preparations another notch - the mandarin orange trees have arrived in our compound.

In some Chinese dialects 'orange' and 'tangerine' sound like the words for 'luck' and 'wealth' and these little trees pop up everywhere during the Chinese New Year festival. Of course it doesn't hurt that the fruit looks a bit like money!
