The Journeyman
Well, maybe not - but she did all right! She taped and masked off all day without complaining (which is more than I can say for me)! Of course, it is her digs that we are painting. She has her own private bedroom and bath and it will be very nice but right now it is a very dark salmon color and feels like a cave. We are going to paint it a very very pale pink - almost white - then in her (she calls it a sound stage) area we are going to paint silhouettes of people playing instruments on the wall and add sparkle paint to them! We aren't going to do that until December when I come back because I forgot and left the paint in Oregon when I left!! So this time we are just painting it white with a "hint" of pink! At least it will lose that cave look!
That's Hilda surveying Rachel's work. Last night it was Daisy watching her in the hot tub and usually she is with Danny Boy (her dog). Hilda is here, in Limbo, waiting to be allowed to join her real family in London as opposed to us, her extended family. (she had to wait six months for approval) Daisy is the Golden Lab that is Nik's baby and Clover is Christina's German Shepherd. And of course Dannny Boy is Rachel's. They all live together here quite happily. Daisy will find, reach and eat any kind of food and all must be locked up and hidden. Hilda and Clover will eat anything else! When you leave the house you must batten down all the hatches or come home to the aftermath of several hurricanes. The humans who live here take it all in stride and because of that have a houseful of very lovely animals - did I mention the cats? Once the humans were trained to pick up after themselves there was no more problems!
