Apple Season in New England

I came home tonight and Amanda was elbow deep in Filo Dough (also spelled as Phyllo or fillo according to Wikipedia).

One by one, she placed a sheet out, then painted some butter on, and then set the next wax-paper thin sheet on. Slowly she built up a pie-dough thickness of dough.

Then, just add apples.

If you squint your eyes and really make this photo out of focus, it looks like a distant mountain.
