The vet was pleased with Grace's progress following the anti-inflammatory injection. She has prescribed a 5 day course of good old Metacam and follow up x-rays if necessary or no further treatment if Grace weight bears on her paw. My bill for the medication and syringe was 78p which the receptionist said I could roll over until next visit as I didn't take cash only my debit card.
