Pass the ball

The rain this morning cleared into a lovely day. Why am I always talking about the weather here? Maybe we have become more English than we thought!

I went to watch Thomas' rugby match today, the first one I have been to this term. It is quite difficult adjusting my expectations down to the level of twelve and thirteen year olds playing after watching the whole season of Luke's 1st team games. Nevertheless, it was fun to see these boys running around trying their best. They are also at that awkward age where some have reached puberty and shot up and others are still quite small, so the team have boys of varying sizes, and the heavier boys naturally doing better. Here Thomas is paying scrum half and is about to pass the ball out of the scrum...or is he putting it in? Either way, it goes in one end and seems to come out the same end again. What a funny old game rugby is.
