T's journey.

The keeper of secrets

I've stood here tall for all these years
Twisted with the winds
I've watched them come and sit with me,
Listened to their tales of woe.

The children that have climbed up high,
I've rocked them gently,
Kept them safe
And watched their young follow suit.

I've kept them cool in the midday sun
Calling the breeze to rustle my leaves,
And shielded them from the rain and snow
When winter comes to town.

I'll stand here a few more years yet
And watch as seasons change
As time passes and people come and go
I'll listen and keep your secrets safe once more.
