Take a wild guess at what my big Christmas present was! Okay its a camera, Cannon EOS 1100D to be specific. Its the perfect DSLR for a newbie like me, the features are easy to use and there are plenty of options available so I'm looking forward to learning the more complex techniques over time.

I resisted the urge to make my very first entry a picture of one of my cats, but instead I decided to show this little snippet from my walk today. I hope to share with you lots of other images to come (be prepared for cats), all a part of my learning process - enjoy! :)
