Long Way Down

This is the view from outside the 5th floor bedroom of our Paris hotel. Typical of hotels in the 6th - and almost faster to leg it than take the lift (which just about holds us both).

Met La Patronne at CDG this afternoon and we enjoyed an intimate event at WH Smith's in the Rue du Rivoli. I photographed a homeless man curled up asleep on the pavement beneath the window display of all my books, but thought it too sad to blip.

Then we dined with my French translator and her husband in a little bistro not far from our hotel and enjoyed a fun reunion. Four events in French bookstores to come, then home on Sunday.
