Tam O' Shanter Rabbie Burns Statue

I was walking through George Square in Glasgow yesterday and saw a tourist taking a pic - so looking up I realised why! the Robert Burns statue in the Square has its very own Tam o'Shanter hat on !! To those not familiar with the hat - its also called a 'See you Jimmy' hat, after the 80's comedian Russ Abbott who used to use it in a sketch and say that now immortal line!

Also Robert Burns (or Rabbie or Robbie) is Scotland's national poet and it will be Burn's night on the 25th January - so Scots and adopted Scots throughout the world will be celebrating his legacy with food, drink and music. Of course its Haggis!
