Still Waters

Busy day again - I wouldn't know what to do with myself if it wasn't. I like the feeling when you finish for the day, that you've done all you can.

I'm lucky enough that I can switch off, regardless of any unresolved problems, I can leave them behind at the office (unless like yesterday I need to actually work in which case they do come home with me!)

But... maybe that's not strictly true or I wouldn't be talking about it now?

Anyway - part of the reason I think I can switch off is because I have this other stuff to do; such as finding a blip!!!

I wasn't optimistic - at work the skies went a deep shade of grey and the heavens opened, but by the time it got to 8.30pm tonight I saw that the skies were totally clear and the stars shining brightly. I headed off to a lake I often go to for photo's and took some shots. It was very cold, things were beginning to turn icy including me.

I'm still experimenting with photography (I guess I always will be) and most of the photo's failed. There was a family of swans but they were moving all the time, so I ratcheted the ISO up as high as I dare to keep a short shutter speed, but the noise was just unmanageable when I got home and looked at them. I did actually manage it over a year ago but it was more by accident than design! And I lost most of the sexy star action :o)

I was pleased with this one though. No swans but there are other nights :o)
