Halmyre St. art

This is the start of a new piece of street art/mural in Halmyre street, I LOVE this street, the mural is on the wall next to the tenement flat that my grandparents lived in all through my childhood.

Although..... it looks very different now to it did when we used to play on the waste ground opposite the house, but there are still some things that haven't changed, the smell of oil and fuel from the Garages round the corner, the noise of the cars going along the cobbles & the tiny little corner shop and bakers :) fab memories that are all brought back the second I enter the street :)

I actually found myself closing my eyes to listen to the steady stream of cars along the cobbles, I used to love being in the "big" bed at my grandparents with the window open a little and hearing the noise of the cars over the cobbles. a lovely few moments for me today, I really must do it more often.
