All Fayed Up

All Fayed Up

Before anyone jumps and comments that I’m factually incorrect, I will state that I am very well aware that Mohammed Al Fayed no longer owns Harrods!

However, this is a minute detail which frankly ruins a perfectly good entry title!

Today has been a bloody good day. No two ways about it. It started with an alarm call that I heard, a departure time which I stuck to, progressed to a breakfast in my new favourite morning haunt, which was followed by a traffic-free journey to my first meeting which was superb, another couple of meetings which were painless, advanced to a long call with a cousin/customer in which, for once, I wasn’t delivering bad news, began to wind down with a wonderful evening spent in the most delightful company, drew towards a close with an efficient journey home with only one diversion and culminated in this: My new favourite thing to do.

The entire day has been interspersed with laughter, positivity and a general feeling of progress: I really needed today for so many reasons.

At some stage I will write about a bizarre but enlightening moment from my day that involved a barbie doll, a piece of glass, an adapted Dunelm Mill frame, a small lilo pump, a really cool laser pen and a webcam…. a situation which lead me to comment ‘I just love what I do’. No part of that is made up either: One simply couldn’t make it up!!

On my way to dinner this evening, I drove through Knightsbridge and, as I always do, marvelled at the beautiful sight of Harrods approaching on my right. And when I got enough space to stop, I did, just for a couple of seconds…long enough to capture today’s blip and a purposely blurry, hurried shot.

The PMA has massively helped me today: I am, quite literally, ‘All Fayed Up’, and ready for whatever tomorrow brings!
