Wet Laggan

Laggan was soaking today, however that just added to the fun!

The first loop was quite dry, well it had stopped raining the trail itself was still soaked! The first run was used more as a warm up, not having been on the mtb in a few months it took some time to get into the swing of things, however it went well and we headed for lunch.

After a bacon and egg butty, we headed back up the hill for some more fun, this time in the pouring rain, the woman in the cafe must have slipped some brave pills into my roll, as when we reached the top of the red route I decided it was a good idea to take the black route back down. Usually the black routes at trail centres can be over hyped, described as being harder than they actually are, although the black at Laggan lives up to its reputation, big, scary, slippy, jaggedy rocks to bounce over on my hardtail, I arrived at the bottom thoroughly chuffed that i managed to clear most of the black without falling off, a huge adrenaline rush!
