I know how she feels...

Our flight wasn't until 1.30 today. My mum and tony wereflying at 10.15 though. We'd been advised that Easyjet were quite good about letting you check in early. Since Tony had to drop the hire car off at the airport we decided we'd head in with them, check in really early then get a bus into Palma for trh morning andf head back at about 12 to go through security.

this allmeant getting up at six am to have a last quick tidy before leaving just after seven. Whenwe got to the airport we joined teh queue to be told that tehre was no way they could check us in then and that check in opened at 11.30 but we should maybe head back at about 11.

That was all fair enough. We didn't want to lug our suitcases about with us so we just grabbed some food in the airport and killed three hours. When we headed back at 11 we were the fifth family in the queue so that wasn't too bad. Unfortunately when they finally opened the gates (later than half eleven) laods ofg people started jumping the queue. To make matters worse they opened another check in gate and started ushering in people who were behind us in the queue. As a result it took ages to get chacked in and we ended up in group B meaning despite probably being th efirst people on the plane to arrive at the airport we were among tha last to board the plane.

That would have been bad enough but hwn we finally got back we had a four hour drive up the road to contend with (or more accurately Roz did as I don't drive), or so we thought. Roadworks and monstrous queues on the A6 meant our four hour drive took over six.

Still today aside it was a really good break.

I've even fought through the tiredness to backblip from here if you want a look.
