Sunset Over the Desert

Today we moved Rachel's bed in, organized everything (or almost) Finished painting yesterday. We had fans going all day, which was good because Rachel was anxious to sleep in her room. I just went in and sung happy Birthday to her at exactly midnight. She is now officially 22 yrs. old! Tomorrow she is in a parade with the Special Olympics. They are supposed to dress like movie stars who lived in Palm Springs. She is going to be Lucille Ball dressed as Lucy Ricardo. We went all over town looking for an apron - Doesn't anybody cook anymore? Salespeople were looking at me askance when I asked for an apron. I ended up getting very apologetic and explaining it was for a costume rather than for some ulterior motive that they seemed to think I had!

We finally found some material that we are going to try to make into an I Love Lucy type apron! She might just be my tomorrow (today's) blip! After the parade we are going to Barnes & Noble (her favorite place) Then Uncle Michael and Sue are coming over for Birthday dinner. Should be a fun day.
