The SSE Hydro

As much bad press as SSE get for being part of the infamous Big 6, I must say that they have given Glasgow a tremendous performance arena. The SSE Hydro, which was opened last September, is one of my favourite buildings in Glasgow. I pass it everyday on the train but it looks its best lit up at night. A fantastic piece of architecture.

Unfortunately, I've yet to experience an event there. My hope is to get a hold of tickets for the Premier League Darts or MTV EMAs this year - perhaps both. 12000 lively Glaswegians at an indoor event will be entertainment enough no matter the event.
