Heap of Mercedes

A sad but wonderful memorial service today in Chelsea Old church. The introduction by the vicar told us that many historical figures had worshipped there including Henry VIII, ThOmas More and Shakespeare . It was bombed in the Second World War and badly damaged so the structure is new but with lots of ancient bits remaining. Fabulous choir.
