My New Toy

I finally took the plunge and bought a full frame camera! My trusty old Nikon D90 has been replaced by a D600. It feels like a form of betrayal to my old friend - but I know I will still need to take the D90 out for a spin now and again and it will be good to have as a backup camera on any client shoots. So far I love the D600 - but it feels odd. It is so familiar, with a lot of similarities to my old camera. but it is off just enough that it makes things a little awkward. With work this past week, i have barely had a chance to use it. I hope to rectify that this weekend :) I am mostly trying to adjust to the new AF system - it is soooo much more complicated than my D90 and I just have to tame that beast for a bit until I familiarize myself with it.

So yea, I am really excited about it and I am hoping it will help me grow my photography skills even more! (So many new gadgets this week: camera upgrade, my first smart phone, and we finally got a CO detector too!)
