Shat'lero

Went to the lovely country park of Chatelherault (pronounced shat'lero locally) - This used to be part of the Duke of Hamilton's extensive estates but was given to the city in lieu of death duties. The park is named after the french town of the same name, the Duke also being the Duc de Châtellerault (it's all right for some!)
There is an impressive building still which would pass for a large estate house but which was merely a hunting lodge for Hamilton Palace - now demolished

Part of the part includes a walk along a river gorge which looks great with the autumn colours.
