Red Seed Pods

This morning I visited a friend's house in Impington. Her garden is full of many lovely shrubs and plants, but apart from a few aconites in the lawn and budding snowdrops, this was the only colourful thing I could find. I have no idea what it is, I should have asked. Glad I went out in the morning as later this afternoon there was high wind, thunder and lightning and torrential rain. I stood at the window with my camera, waiting for more lightning, but it didn't happen, although I heard the thunder rumbling in the distance.
