"Will Feral"?

He stalks across our backyard as though he owns the place, much to the dismay of the cat we claim as ours. My family has another name for him, but I am tempted to call him Will Feral. I don't think he belongs to anyone---he is much too skittish. I don't feed him, either, but I won't chase him away until he bothers Snickerdoodle or the birds on my rail......
