The blind leading the blind.

What a kerfuffle!
The cord on this roller blind had broken and been temporarily tied back together a few times so I was replacing it with the cord from another, now redundant, blind. Straightforward enough, except that this blind seems to be of around a 1930's vintage and didn't take to cord replacement lightly. The first attempt had us taping up a few small tears. The second had us completely taping back together the bottom of the blind which had disintegrated with the first attempt to pull the blind down with it's young whippersnapper of a new cord. The third attempt was looking good until the top of the blind came out in sympathy with it's fellow bottom end and detached itself completely from the roller. How we laughed!! Fourth attempt .... it's up. Of course we're too scared to close it but what the hey, we didn't need a blind on that window anyway.
