First 10k of the year - done

Today was the first of the three 10ks that I signed up to at New Year.

This one was approached with the get you round strategy and a finish under 75 mins would be acceptable given I only started training at the start of this month.

I beat my target finishing in 67.19 mins - I was pleased. The weather was pouring, windy, cold rain with a dash if sunshine! The course was out and back mostly on a forestry road and my trainers are not happy as some bits where particularly muddy! I'm sure I heard them moaning at me through the squelching :-)

The village of buchlyvie is just outside Stirling and the views are amazing along Flanders Moss.

Today was a good day and I've enjoyed eating my haggis, neeps and tatties. I've earned it!

Happy Burns Day lads and lassies.
