Soup Kitchen

A soup and dessert lunch to raise funds for the fabric of St Stephen's, all home cooked. I was fascinated to meet with a long time resident of Canterbury who remembers sheltering in the lovely woods during the war. Our houses are built in the remnants of those woods. She described a blue carpet of violets around the Jesuits' chapel, now a road, car park and bus lay by but violets still push up between the stones in our patio each spring.
