The next stage............
Well, I have drilled the holes in the vases and have now moved on to the base into which I will be countersinking the vase for greater stability.
The wood I am using is Yew.
This is by no means the finished base, As I say, I will make the 'countersink' into it, so the vase fits like a glove, after which I will rout a shape right the way round the top edge of the base to make it more attractive to look at.
When all of that is done, I will sand and polish it so the grain stands out more.
Both bases I will blip at a later date when finished.
The stage after this will be the piece of wood which I will turn to fit the mouth of the vase.
Quite a bit to do yet, and I know you will not be disappointed
Hoping I am keeping you interested!!
Take care.
