Finally!!!

Ds started swimming lessons when he was five. He was really water confident and I watched him swim once with no armbands.

Then he got flu. Nasty horrible flu which resulted in him being hospitalised and thankfully they caught the pneumonia and nipped it in the bud.

The nights we were in hospital came back to haunt us this week as a friend was in the same ward with her dd this week. All is ok again now thankfully.

Anyway after the flu Ds lost all his water confidence. We stopped the lessons as it was just too much after a week at school. He was diagnosed with post viral fatigue and it took until the six weeks holiday to get him back to normal.

He is great now. He caught up educationally but we still had some issues with the swimming in that we could not get him to not use the armbands even though they were doing nothing.

Finally on Monday he took them off! Today he did his ten metres. We are so proud.
