Acres Of Acorns

It was quite a reasonable day for a walk but chilli enough for Brambie to need her cosy coat!

She adores this part of the common, the fallen wood tastes so much nicer than anywhere else :-) yes she does actually digest it and we pick it up at the other end ( TMI?!)

Some of the insides of the acorns are such a bright deep cerise, just amazing. There are fewer here than on previous weeks when I've taken similar shots but not blipped them. Perhaps the squirrels are storing them away?
