Wrapped in a green blanket

Wet, wet and wet is the description of today! Dressed in waterproofs and sporting an umbrella we managed a walk with the dogs along the West Highland Way. This tree attracted my attention as it looked lovely, blanketed in this green lichen. The shots of the whole tree didn't do it justice and so here is a close up which depicts the way the lichen is surrounding the branches of the tree.

It was strange today as Danny went to Scout camp last night and won't be back until Sunday and Will was in his usual Saturday routine of volunteering in Oxfam followed by photography class at the Glasgow School of Art. We thought that this must be what it is like to not have children as we pottered about the house and relaxed without being constantly disturbed.
