Weary

We were gone from home for over 3 hours this morning (swim class, breakfast, picked out granite slabs, shopped for tile and sink and faucet...). L mentioned that we could have driven to Seattle in the time we had been gone as she fondly remembered the 2 days we spent there with her aunt.

Home led to sleep for L. She was so tired so I sat with her and rubbed her back. I was able to watch her drift to sleep which I haven't seen in a very long time. It was glorious. And I admired her eyelashes...a lot. This shot also reminds me of the state of her left eye when she was born. Swollen and scratched from trying to enter the world eyeball first. And now how beautiful it is!
