Sunrise from Mt St Patrick

I spent the weekend at the Amuri skifield (no snow, it's summer here) on a Nature Photography Society field trip. It was very windy this morning, but when we woke up and saw the colour in the sky at 5.30 am, several of us crawled out of bed with our cameras. I took this shot from the ridge above the hut. As I'd already been up there the day before, it wasn't so hard to negotiate the rough track in semi-darkness. Decidedly worth the effort!

It was a great weekend, and thanks to all those who came with us.
