65th Republic Day

Its India's 65th Republic Day today, one of three annual national holidays, so there were big speakers on the beach belting it out for the holiday crowds, which happens anyway on a Sunday but seemed to be particularly gung ho today.

Other than that it was quiet all round, the Russians arrived at the hotel across the road yesterday, apparently they spend today asleep and then tomorrow they go shopping so we nipped in and booked Marcellino for half a day tomorrow morning before he gets called in by the taxi rank.

We spent today by the pool, its a hard life! The hardest thing is to get my blip uploaded. It tells me its 100% uploaded but nothing happens - for hours! Sigh.
