Corner Brook, Newfoundland

This city is the second largest in Newfoundland and has a population of 20,000, plus 40,000 within the commuting area!!

Up early (for me) to leave on a sightseeing trip at 7.30am It was a cold morning with a temp of zero degrees C!! Chilly to say the least.

One of the places we visited was the “outdoor swimming pool” ie part of the river which is dammed off in the summer to raise the water level to give a safe swimming depth!! It was closed today, not a surprise to anyone.

As we sailed out via the Humber River there was a massive snow / hail storm. Total white out….thank goodness for technology to prevent us from bumping in to anything/anyone.

Extra pictures start here.. Flick backwards.

Weather at Noon – 4 degrees C/ 39 F
