Harvesting Willow

Today is the first really cold day this winter, ventured out on my bike for an hour, overall a bit grey and rainy - snow forecast for tomorrow.

A nice shot of the ongoing work to harvest and control the willow trees as part of the water control systems - I always think it is rather vicious pruning but the trees seem to survive and it stops them getting too big.
