Lichen On Bricks

Had a very lazy relaxing day today. We were going to go out tonight so I could take some pics of the Australia Day fireworks but somehow the time came and went and we found it hard to stir ourselves!

Fortunately I had been playing around with the macro lens earlier in the day and became totally fascinated with the beautiful little patches of lichen growing on the bricks on the rooftop garden. I have tried to find information about them but didnt have a lot of luck!
