Big Garden Birdwatch

There we were all ready to start the Big Garden Birdwatch at 9 am this morning. We opened the website and the clock started to count down. After 10 minutes we had seen one dunnock on the feeders, although in fairness he had been on them about three times. Then nothing for the next 40 minutes until a magpie alighted on the feeders before picking up some bread from the tray. And that was it!

We later headed out for the feeding station at Moore Nature Reserve where the feeders were covered in birds. We saw three woodpeckers on different feeders at the same time. This woodpecker was keeping his eye on the flock of long-tailed tits that were trying to get on to this ball.
