Very Sunday.
Jenny had her family up and treated us all to breakfast - cereal, fruit juice, croissants - it doesn't sound like much, but felt like quite an extravagance.
After a bit of reading in Gadaffi with Megs, I headed to the top of Arthur's Seat to see what the wind was doing, watch the weather, and feel the green space. I ended up sitting on the second highest peak, the 'lion's haunch', which is far less crowded and you have the view across to the peak itself. I sat at the top for the best part of an hour, watching the clouds billow up to the south west of the Pentlands hills before dissapating over the city, a hole of blue punched out of a sky of grey.
To the east, the firth of forth opens out, squalls blowing their way across the muddy waters, unheard, and seemingly still from where I stood. There were a few showers out to sea, steady columns of pencil shaded grey carefully joining the sea to the sky.
I stayed as long as the cold allowed, and then slowly made my way back home. A cup of tea, and curled up in gadaffi to read some more.
Over to the boys house for roast beef for dinner.
