LUCKY, SHE IS LUCKY

to receive the carrot pieces.
Thicker snow than yesterday we found lying upon the bushes and trees this morning. The sky however against our wishes kept rather grey and from time to time it lighty snowed.
It seemed a good idea to walk, after we had fed the ducks and the swan family in the river, to go to the horses at the Eisenbahnerheim and walk from there in the forest of the Reinhardswald.
At one moment when I throwed the bread twenty or more gulls appeared suddenly and circkled high in the sky, but only one dared to fly a bit lower.
As they had come, they disappeared suddenly.
We found Paule, Lucky and Beauty standing behind the stone wall. Beauty was the first who came towards us, then Lucky (in the picture) and quietly Paule descended from where he stood.
From the Eisenbahnerheim a path goes up into the forest and with joy because of the snow we took that one. The path does not climb steeply, and we had all the time of looking around and enjoying the views.

My haiku:

We meet the caring
Mother of the horses now
And then, not often

And the proverb:

Too-too will in two.

Meaning: Strain a thing too much and it will not hold.
