Another cold, cold day. We travelled to Newport with Dad so he could see the America's Cup sights and we could visit one of the famous mansions. We chose Breakers, the former home of the Vanderbilts for our visit, Dad having seen the film some time ago. The interior of the the summer 'cottage' is a temple to conspicuous wealth. No expense spared in the opulent furnishings and fittings. Quite some sight to behold. I did try a sneaky interior shot or two but between the frequent appearance of staff and the dimmed light used for preservation reasons, it didn't work out.
No shot yesterday, nursing a fractured rib and yesterday it was SORE. Much better today after rest and regular pain relief.
