Snow!

The first real snow of 2014 arrived here this morning, continuing till about midday. It was then followed by an hour or so of rain, which left everything around here very slushy.

This evening saw largely clear skies, so now we have warnings of treacherous conditions on the roads around here first thing tomorrow. We're not now planning to be out until around 9...

P.S. To the right of the utility pole, note the bird feeders hanging from the post of the deer fence: these were the main focus of our attention for an hour this afternoon as we took part in the RSPB's Big Garden Birdwatch.
