Casa de Artisanias

The day off but there are seemingly a million little things to do nonetheless. I wont go into them. Instead Ill say I still found a little time to slow down brief as it was.

Following the elusive Ecuadorian postage stamp highway through Cuenca eventually brought me to this artisans house amongst other errands over the day. Amongst the bright colors of gaudy masks and earrings, rows of crude wood carvings, gorgeous soft alpaca scarves and shawls I finally found my postage stamps and postcards. Messages scribbled and sent out into the deep blue void like so many birds on the wing and a rare self portrait to boot...
