I was planning on leaving my entry till the end of the day and taking shots through the day and choosing the best one but... well, I started off this way thinking 'I'll take a shot of the rehearsal space upstairs'. So I gleefully trotted upstairs to take a shot of my bass in our rehearsal room. I play in two bands and one of them, Taunt, was due to rehearse tonight. (We have a couple of rooms upstairs at the tattoo studio one of which we've kitted out for my use with the bands).
We are, as the title suggests, off tonight as Mike (one of the guitarists) had a wee text on its way to me as I was taking the shot; so as I sat back in my booth, glad for resisting the urge to insta-blip, my phone beeped. It was Mike. His wife is in labour and we wont be rehearsing tonight so I thought this was a cosmic sign (good enough excuse) to blip my rehearsal room shot.
Mike and his wife went through a miscarriage last year and are both in thier forties so this is a wee delight for them and although I don't like babies and especially the thought of the delivery of them I am as happy as possible for them. Its early by about three weeks but should be ok. I was a month prem and I'm totally normal.... yeah, I'm not buying that either.
So I will undoubtably have some yukky wrinkly baby blip in the next few days.
Fingers crossed and god help the nipper cuz Mikes just not right at all. And they're calling it Amelia... soundss like rice pudding.
