Soaked

There must have been some heavy rain overnight as the river had flooded the field. Rain continued for most of the morning and I suspected that the road would flood around now as high tide is around lunchtime. However, the rain has eased a little and hopefully the river level will drop again.

The ground is squelching underfoot and the paths around the river are impassable.

The hanging basket is soaking and I took so many photos trying to catch the water dripping from the gutter onto the edge of the basket. In the end I preferred the shot without the splashes. Typical!

Daughter woke this morning with a sore throat, headache, aches and pains. Not a good start to her pre-lims.
