New Year - Day Two
Top 'o the Quantocks
Now usually on a Wycherley Walk (so named for our heroic leaders) you'd expect something like this, or at the very least some kind of torrential downpour.
What you wouldn't expect is a light smattering of rain at the start, relatively mud-free paths, streams instead of swollen rivers and sunshine instead of showers. Aside from a few drops of rain here and there it was possibly the most weather-free walk we've ever had; we made such good time, in fact, that we were able to nip to the pub on the way back for a quick pint - a very nice day's walking all told.
