Another dull day, so a walk around the big green house at Duthie park (The Winter Gardens).

And there it was in the Tropical house, this Alien !!!

The David Welch Winter Gardens are at at Duthie Park. The 44-acre park in the City of Aberdeen was opened to the public in 1883. It sits on the banks of the River Dee, donated to the city by Miss Duthie in 1880. Duthie Park boasts a bandstand, fountains, statues and ponds where you can go boating.

The Winter Gardens boast Europe's largest indoor garden collection. Here you can admire flora and fauna from around the world, and see the ‘talking cactus’ and artists during the summer. The Gardens are one of Europe’s largest indoor gardens and Scotland’s third most visited.

It boasts a beautiful floral paradise all year round with many rare and exotic plants on show from all around the world.
