Preston Cross

Another snap taken during today's dog walk.

This is Preston Cross, which is generally recognised as Scotland's finest mercat (or market) cross. Basically, it shows where "ye olde" town markets were held!

This cross dates back to shortly after 1617 and still stands in its original location. Pretty impressive if you think about it! It is now oddly surrounded by 1900s bungalows but the cross itself remains as it always was.
