ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

first the good news!!! our son and daughter-in-law are coming from turkey to be with us for thanksgiving and my husband's birthday!!!!!!!

then travelocity tells me that to pick up a ticket to the u.s. for our daughter-in-law who cancelled hers in april is $8000. give me a break. do they think i am that stupid!!! asked to speak to supervisor, no help there. finally, he told me to call turkish airlines myself and i got her one for $225 plus her cancelled ticket. yeah!!! but took me an hour.

then broke both needles in my serger (photo here) which is a pretty complicated machine to thread and tight to change needles. had hoped to get some curtains sewed, but guess i accomplished other things. btw, i broke the needles because i need more light at my sewing area and my eyes, well, there is a lack of near sharpness there.
