Monday: Jarun Lake

I had a day off today to spend it with B and Rae before they headed back home tonight.  We drove out to Jarun Lake where we finally got to build our snowwoman, whom we have christened Maeve.

And, just as an addendum to last night's Burns Night festivities, they came off a treat, helped by some very clear instructions, which B. had printed off.  We were told to carry in the haggis in a 'more or less dignified fashion' - I think for us the emphasis was definitely on less.  And the speeches were supposed to be 'long-winded enough to remind the guests that this isn't the office Christmas Party, yet no so long as to induce cramping, dry-mouth or ringing in the ears' - I think we did fine on that score too!
