it's a 3-some...
...of bottle caps
yes - bottle caps
but not just any old bottle caps - these are very special to me - they were made and designed by my niece - using a technique she developed when she was only 12 - with chiyogami paper - a durable, yet flexible japanese paper that blends japanese traditions of woodblock printed japanese papers and a style of kimono fabric known as yuzen - pretty sophisticated for such a young thing - although she's now 25 - has turned this practice into a small business for herself, too - and implements it into pieces of jewelry - mostly earings and necklaces - yet branched it out into these unusual caps - turning them into refrigerator magnets - the coolest things ever - of course - i'm biased - being the aunt and all
however, it's creativity like this - which we want to see exhibited in our young people of today - when they can take a small idea - run with it - explore where it will get them - then we know the world is going to be in good hands - we can rest assured - breathe easy - relax a bit - because it's all led to...
a
happy day.....
