What a story Socorro had to share. Undeterred by the extreme poverty he grew up in, Socorro saw a need for an education in healthcare so he could give back to others. With the staff of AMOS and local health promoters as inspiration, Socorro spent every waking moment pursuing his dream of becoming a nurse. He now works at AMOS Health and Hope and inspires everyone he comes in contact with to do something, anything, to help others. In this photo, Socorro and Jennifer, a dietician from Oregon, and John, a truly amazing AMOS staff member, share an emotional goodbye as Socorro prepares to head to another community in need.
