Adapt

To eliminate the power lines, I've cropped off half the tree. It's a very tall tree, very straight...until you reach the top where you can see evidence that something, very long ago, caused it to blow it's top. Perhaps someone topped it one time, then moved away, leaving it feeling out of sorts. But when some would say it's ruined, others would say it's a little different, but it adapted to its condition quite well! A very tall, straight tree otherwise.

Losing its top didn't ruin it, yet it will never be without the evidence of that one day when someone took a swing at it. It will always be unique, but that didn't keep it from growing straight and tall.
